This was our first cruise, so I have no other cruises to compare it with. We found our week on the Sun to Alaska to be fantastic, and exactly the type of vacation we were looking for.

The ship was spotless, and the crew impossibly friendly. Everyone, and I mean everyone, smiled and said hello through the entire week. The amazing part was they actually seemed happy, not acting or putting on a fake smile. I don't know how they manage this.

We booked a balcony stateroom, and I would really recommend this for Alaska. The scenery is absolutely gorgeous, and the route gave us some astounding views. If you get tired of people, you can just go to your room, put your feet up on the balcony rail, and watch the scenery go by. Our room stewards were incredible, and earned a well-deserved generous tip at the end of the week. Our room was very cozy and comfortable. It was easy to organize all of our stuff neatly.
