My husband and I booked this cruise as an end of the summer vacation. I will try to give a general overview of the ship , and what there is to see in Canada. We arrived at the Port in NY early 9am, Carnival started issuing sign and sail cards around 11am. We were able to sit while waiting and were able to board the ship around 11:30 We proceeded to the Lido deck for a buffet lunch. Everything was pretty organized. We were able to go to our Cabins at 1:30pm. Angelo our room steward was there to greet us and told us he would be around if we needed anything. We had an inside room on the Verandah deck. The beds were pushed together to form a King sized bed. There was plenty of closet space, bathroom was roomy enough.I had had an OV room on the sensation in the past and decided to try an inside room this time. We really didn't mind not having a window. Very dark and great for sleeping. Spent most of our time on deck or at activities. After the muster drill we were free to explore the Victory. It is a colorful ship with an ocean theme in many areas. Throughout the week I found the ship to be very well maintained and very clean. Assigned to the Pacific Dining room at the opposite end of the ship for dinner, so we got plenty of exercise walking back and forth. Met Malcolm the cruise director at the welcome aboard show in the evening. Entertainment was what I expected. The ventriloquist was amazing and the comedian was very funny. The singing and dancing shows were just alright. Meals: I had most dinners in the dining room late sitting, which I ended up liking. Vincent our table captain and George his assistant were excellent. Any request he tried to fulfill. Food was very good. portions were adequate, desserts were great. I  had no complaints with any meals. Enjoyed the Captains party with free cocktails and food and the past carnival cruiser party. Breakfast and lunch was on the Lido deck buffet or Pizza which is available 24hrs Many choices for all meals and most food was very tasty. I had wished there was a microwave available to heat food up alittle Sometimes the lines moved alittle slow and food would cool off by the time I sat down. Dining room was always being cleaned and employees were all very pleasant. Nightlife: Spent a few nights with Missy doing Karaoke. Alot of fun.Casino is open when not in Port. Various musicians playing different types of music in Various lounges. I found this cruise to have more Senior travelers than my last cruise, some nightlife areas were very underattended. Photographers were everywhere, sometimes it got alittle to much. Had great weather while traveling up north. Pools and hottubs got used. Movies on the big screen on Lido deck or bands playing. Being most schools are in session there were not alot of children on this cruise.
