This is my 3rd cruise. First one was on the Carnival Paradise, second on the Crown Princess. I'm 36 years old and traveled with my friend, age 45 and her husband, 54 and their 13 year old son. This was the first cruise for them.
Embarkation: Thank God for my category 11 VIP status because when I got to port the hordes of people waiting to check in was ridiculous! Even as a VIP it seemed too long and tedious. There was this huge influx of people lining up and the employees just could not keep up.
Cabin: I was a bit disappointed with our suite. I am not sure what other suites looked like but ours slept 4. 2 singles pushed together for the couple, a sofa bed (hard as a rock!) and a pull-down bed from the ceiling. The closet space and drawers were sufficient, even for 4 heavy packers. There was a separate dressing room with a vanity table and 4 small drawers and a big closet. Adjacent to that was a bathroom with double sinks and a glass door shower/bathtub. I liked the fact that I could have privacy while getting ready and dressed up while my friend and her family had the rest of the suite.
