This is my second trip on Costa's Atlantica. The first generally was quite positive. Because of our previously great experience, we again went on Costa's Atlantica...this time only to regret the decision.

As opposed to the orderly embarkation on our first cruise, this one was mass chaos. 2400 people jammed into a large hall, half of who pushed and shoved each other as they moved about the hall. Little did I know then, but this would be the behavioral norm throughout the cruise.

Fewer smiling staff faces this time. Maybe it was because they were all dealing with unhappy or rude customers. There were leaks in the pipes of the ship, causing buckets to be placed on the floors in order to collect water. Rust was evident on the ship's exterior, and the ship's ventilation system gave either too hot or cold air. The gym was great, but did not have sanitary wipes to clean the equipment. Read more
