My wife and I just returned from our cruise on the Mariner of the Seas. We took the Eastern Caribbean Cruise, and this was our first cruise ever. Most of these reviews give very detailed info about the cruise and the ship so I will try and just hit on some of the other highlights. Bottom line is that we had a great time and I would recommend it to everyone. Please excuse my spelling and grammar!!! (I was educated in a Georgia public school). HA! HA!

I would like to start by bragging about the great price I got on this cruise. I booked it through an online agency. We had a D1 balcony cabin and we only paid $699 per person, taxes included. From the rates that I checked, this seemed to be a very good rate, if anyone booked it cheaper, please do not tell me this, as I would like to continue thinking I got a great deal!!! We booked the cruise about three weeks before sailing.

The next deal that I wanted to share is if you are driving to the port. I knew in advance that parking was going to be $70 for the week at the port, and I was not looking forward to paying this to leave my car at the port. We drove down from Atlanta a day early and would be needing a hotel room in the port area, and I found a room at the Radisson at the Port for $109 a night. This seems a little expensive except for the fact that they let you park there for free all week and shuttle you to and from the port (which is only 1 mile away) for FREE!!!! Very NICE hotel too!!! Check it out online. The rates and availability change frequently, so continue to check online to see if the rate is cheaper or if any rooms have come available.
