My husband and I and two of our friends were scheduled for an August 1st Cruise/Tour on Radiance of the Seas from Vancouver to Fairbanks. This was a first cruise for all of us. Unfortunately, we got caught up in the United Airlines "slowdown" and missed our connecting flight. In addition, we had to stand in line for 4 hours for rebooking and hotel accommodations. As a result we missed the ship. I called Royal Caribbeans number for people who are having problems on the day of the sailing. We could not have been happier with the response we received. The man I spoke with took care of every detail in arranging for us to meet the ship at the first port. He went the extra mile to get us in to Ketchikan early enough so we could enjoy the city. Because of his dedication, a vacation which started out miserably turned out to be wonderful.
The cruise was great. Radiance is a beautiful ship with unsurpassed views. Our room had more then enough storage space and a very comfortable bed. The shower left something to be desired.
From the moment we boarded we noticed that cleanliness was like a ritual. From the wipes at various points on the ship to the staff constantly cleaning all the public areas, we felt that extra care was being taken to assure a healthy environment.
Great cabin. Close enough to the elevator but not near the crew area. Would request it again.
