Traveled with children

Arrived in Venice, transfer was smooth, however embarked on deck 4 - when we've been before there has always been huge welcome on Piazza/Plaza deck.Disappointing. Ship was appealing and as has been previously said did not feel as large as it really is.

Pools: Great layout- busy on sea days - some live music but definitely could be more!! I was told there is more in the caribbean by the cruise director???? Deck attendants really helpful and kind. If you have no children rear of ship is excellent- huge jacuzzis, pool and bars..

Entertainment: Every time I looked at the Princess Patter I was looking for something different- same each night e.g. Eric in Crooners, The Roxx in Explorers..even managed to miss the Captain's welcome as it was so poorly advertised. Must mention kind staff in Explorers always with a ready smile- just a shame this did not continue throughout the ship. Cruise director Neil is not as bouncy as previous ones we have had and realize this is the key to a good atmosphere on board. Definitely preferred older clientele and he suggested that the lack of midnight buffets, fun waiter nights and deck parties was because cruising is cheaper now!!! I would suggest that it is a Princess/Carnival cost cutting profit making margin..
