Sail Date: Aug 2008

Embarkation: Smooth, drove to Harwich, paid for parking dropped luggage with porters, parked car, entered shuttle, arrived at terminal. Upon arrival there were quite a few shuttles arriving at the same time so there was a line but it moved quickly. We went through the process and quickly entered the ship. we were offered a glass of champagne or orange juice and then escorted to our room. The life boat drill took about 45 minutes after which time we set sail quickly and on time.

Stateroom: We were in Concierge class and the room and our attendant, Anil, were both excellent. While the rooms are small the service isn't. We were given the pillows of our choice upon asking and room service was delivered some of the time by our attendant and was prompt. He always called before delivering making it nice. The flowers lasted the length of the cruise (except for the rose in the bathroom which was changed 2 times). The canapes were awful and we asked Anil to switch them to fresh fruit which happened the rest of the cruise. Our room was cleaned and towels changed twice daily. Ship: The ship appeared in good repair. Bathrooms always had fresh towels in there. Disinfectant was available and required upon entering any dining facility. The staff were friendly and courteous from everything we experienced. The staff at the photo gallery were very helpful and the young lady (sorry I can't remember her name) was wonderful at taking pictures. Get her if you can ( I think she is the only girl taking pictures)

Dining: Here is my one complaint. The food was good (especially the waffles at breakfast) but our waiter at dinner wasn't (name: Edic). He was courteous but didn't do anything extra. The assistant waiter was incredible, he remembered how we liked our water and coffee and was very attentive. The assistant maitre'd only came around the last few evenings to garner his tip I guess (Name: Erdan). There was only one night I didn't care for the menu but made it do. This being said I spoke with others who liked it so it comes down to personal choice. The restaurant Ocean liners was incredible, food, service, everything. Loved it.

Cabin Review

Cabin CC

Good view. Centrally located between forward and midship. Small closet, and bathroom (typical for Celebrity) Overall in good shape and great room attendant.
