Here's some hints if you're going on this cruise:
1) If you decide to take along your own wine or alcohol in your luggage, be prepared to have to go to a special place on the third floor and pay a $15 per bottle fee. They x-ray EVERY piece of luggage and it is a real hassle to wait in line and pay the surcharge....and then to have to carry your luggage back to your room. This happens the first night when you board and your luggage is brought on board. There must have been 30 to 50 people in line waiting and it is not a fun way to start your trip. Since the restaurants have bottles of wine for around $20 to $30, it really does not make much sense to try to sneak a bottle or two on board.
2) The Aloha Cafe (the buffet on Deck 11 at the back of the ship) runs out of coffee every morning and there are long waits to get a cup of coffee at 7:00 to 8:00 a.m. - so you're better off making your own coffee in your room. I'm not sure why they can't keep the large coffee tins filled in the buffet, but they consistently were empty or overcrowded during the breakfast rush. The in room coffee service has bagged ground coffee from Hawaii, and it very good.
Large balcony, small room, extremely small shower. Back balcony is great when viewing the islands and the volcano from your own room.
