We just came back from a 5 day cruise to Bermuda on the Explorer Of the Seas, and a wonderful full 6 days in NYC! Initially, we wanted to take the 7 day cruise but opted for the 5, so that we could spend more time in NYC. I'm not able to take too many days away from work, so this seemed to be the best compromise. We had booked this cruise in December, with another couple that we were to meet on our February. After talking for months on Cruise Critic, we felt we would have a lot of fun with them (which we did when we met in Feb). To our disappointment, they ended up having to cancel due to a family illness, so it was just the two of us. I was a little more than disappointed because on a 5 day cruise you have no meet and mingle party to look forward to, and there had been no chatter on our CC thread for this cruise. I hate when that happens!!

I wont go into our hotel or time in NYC here as I've posted reviews for both on Trip Advisor.

We used Dial 7 for (9:30am pickup) our transportation to Cape Liberty. We were very pleased when we looked out our hotels front window and saw their car parked waiting for us to come out! We had a great driver that got us to the pier around 10:15. We had been told it would take more than an hour, but the traffic was light, UNTIL..

Cabin Review

Cabin Bal

This cabin (9550) was across from the crew service area, but thank goodness it was quiet. But, the toliet left a lot to be desired. I hope they have this problem fixed for future cruises. Other than this, the location was great.
