So my wife and I heard from numerous people how great cruising is and of course all the comments on "try not to gain too much weight". Well after coming back from a 12 day cruise, I actually lost 3 lbs from being on Legend of the Seas. Maybe we have too high standard for food, but having breakfast options of 1) lukewarm scrambled eggs 2) lukewarm pancakes 3) lukewarm french toast 4) hot chef made omelet, but you must wait for 30 people in front of you to get theirs first lost its appeal very quickly. Same notes can be said for lunch although dinner was fine (typical steak, seafood, etc.). With that being said, I told many people upon returning that I won't be eating scrambled eggs or frozen pizza (sadly my lunch time food of choice) anytime soon.

Onto the ship's entertainment; our opinion is the entertainment would be good if we were 60+ years old. We are both 28 years old and both had the expectation that the ship would be entertaining us and not vice versa. Some of the "highlights" of the cruise included bingo, 'Name that Tune' which turned out to be 50% Beatles/Rolling Stones songs and 'Learn That Line Dance'. The icing on the cake was the honeymoon special where we were greeted with a glass of champagne (very nice) and that great tune "Time of Our Lives".

One thing we did greatly enjoy were the excursions offered by the cruise line. All of them met or beat our expectations on what we would be seeing. The primary reason we took this cruise (Mediterranean) was to see as many countries and sites as possible which worked out perfectly.
