There were five of us in our group, 2 adults and three teenagers. We flew to Rome a day before the cruise and stayed back a day after the cruise to tour Rome. There were too much too see. All the old buildings and landmarks were amazing, especially the Vatican. Since the time was limited, we hired the limo service "Touring In Rome" to show us around. The Carnival cruise tour guide Sabrina was very helpful, she helped us to arrange the limo service and assured us that was the best for our group since we did not have much time and wanted to see the whole Rome under the hot summer sun. It was set at Euro210 for three landmarks (stops)within three hours, however the above limo service driver named Maurizio was so nice that he showed us many more with good explanation and history. We were very pleased!

We stayed in Hilton at the airport and Albani Hotel. Both hotels were chosen by the Carnival and they were very comfortable. However the cost of the hotels in Rome were expensive.

When we first stepped into Carnival Freedom, we felt like stepping into a palace, and that we were going to live in this palace for 12 days. The feeling was wonderful. The shows were amazingly good. The dancers were beautiful and looked like Barbies dancing on the stage. The costume were beautiful. The singers were good. I don't care too much for the magic show or singing only show. I personally prefer the Carnival dancers show. The cruise director "Todd" was amazing. Not only he could direct the ship, he could also act on stage. He was so funny and entertaining. We need to give him two thumbs up for his performance. His assistant "Nortje" was good too.
