First, we are not newby's to cruising. We sailed on the Maasdam June 2007 on their New England itinerary, and it was great! What a difference a year can make!

The trip started in Montreal, which was a great beginning, and sailed to Quebec City. What a lovely place! We will return there. The HAL shore crew grossly under rated this city and the tours missed. We went next to Charlottetown, PEI. The bus tour consisted of a quick drive through town, followed by a 3 hour ride through farm country and a stop to visit the Confederate Bridge and gift shops. Suggest you avoid this.

Traveled to Sydney, Nova Scotia. We did not expect much from what others said, but found a church gift shop with hand made crafts second to none in the world, and some of the friendliest people. I stopped and talked to a retired RCM and a gentleman in costume at a museum. They were so nice and informative.

Verandah Suite

Noisy hallway and the bathroom needs an overhaul.
