This was our first cruise and our first time to Alaska. We were traveling to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. Even though we've been reading reviews and information on Cruise Critic we still weren't sure what to expect. In the end it was worth all the planning and waiting.

Friday, June 13, 2008 - Seattle Arrive in Seattle around noon, picked up our bags at baggage claim and when to ground transportation to find Shuttle Express check in area. Within 10 minutes we were on our way to Hampton Inn - Downtown. The driver was great and gave us some restaurant recommendations. We tried to check in but our room was not ready but they offer to hold our bags so we could grab some lunch. DH and I were starving so we grabbed a quick bit at the Thai restaurant recommended by the hotel staff. It was a small house converted into a restaurant and the food was excellent and was not expensive. We went back to the hotel and our room was ready. We freshen up and was on our way to the Duck Tour, which was within walking distance (between 5 - 7 minutes).

We bought tickets for the 2:30 pm Duck Tour (which is conveniently located across the Space Needle). This is a tour that we would highly recommend to anyone. It is fun, entertaining, and give a great overview. If you like more room sit in the last row because it becomes a long bench once the stairs are raised. It gave DH and I more room to move around. Also, it was a bit cold (50's - we're from Florida so this is cold to us), so dress for it.
