Pre Cruise Me and my family arrived in Port Canaveral the Saturday afternoon before the cruise, around 3 o clock at the Best Western on the beach. The hotel was nice with kitchenette, breakfast, pools, and other amenities. It was around 120 bucks counting all taxes and charges for 3 people. It's also within walking distance of the Cocoa Beach pier where we went and had a drink at a local bar before walking on the beach. We went back to the hotel and got ready for dinner at The Florida Grill, right around the corner from Ron Jons. It was very good seafood with many choices.

We checked out at around 10:30 Sunday morning for the short drive to the pier. Within 15 minutes, I'm dropping off wife, son, sister, mother, and luggage at the drop off and went and parked our van for the week (105 dollars). Got in a short line for check in, and just a short time later, we had our SeaPass cards in hand, even before the ship was boarding, so we had to wait in the terminal for a few minutes and boarded at 11:45. The rooms were not ready until about one so we stayed in the pool area, and started our vacation. DS went exploring the ship and came back telling us how great our room was. We were in Aft JS 1694. We completely loved this room, it was our first Aft cabin. It had more room than we were used to, a much larger bathroom with tub, and a massive balcony with 2 chaise lounges, 4 chairs, and 2 tables. We loved the space and the view of the wake, but we did miss not being able to see the ports as we pulled in.

Coco Cay 1st day We tendered in around 9:30 even after storms that night. We went to Snorkel Beach which is close to the tender area. We plopped down in some chairs and soon a Corona golf cart was coming by to deliver our drinks. We had a good barbecue lunch with ribs, burgers, hot dogs, ..etc. I walked around the island and looked at the various amenities. There are sports courts, water park for the kids, watersport rentals, and several bars. Not much shopping here, just a small straw market with local items.
