This is a review of my Royal Caribbean, Splendour of the Seas cruise it was a 5 day cruise that went to Costa Maya and Cozumel. First a little about me. I have been on 5 previous cruises, 3 on Carnival and 2 on NCL. 25 sea days total. This is my first RCI cruise so I will be comparing them to Carnival and NCL. So if I am a little hard on Royal Caribbean please don't bash me. I am only being honest.

We left for Galveston on Saturday and watched both the Elation and the Rhapsody leave on Sunday evening, which was real cool. First time we have ever done that and we saw the Splendour come in which was also cool. First time we saw that also.

We called a cab at 10 am and were to the pier in a matter of minutes. Stayed at our favorite motel Super 8 the night before so we could eat breakfast at the Waffle House in the parking lot. At the pier the ports whisked our luggage away and directed us to the entrance to the building. Once inside the lady said we could proceed thru security but we needed to have a seat and wait until check in started in 45 minutes. We said no problem. We went thru security (The nicest security we have seen they loved joking with us) and were heading to sit when a lady at the check in counter was waving us over. We presented our docs, got our seapass then we went and had a seat for an hour. Then the door opened after a quick click click of a couple of cameras we were on our way on the Splendour.
