Me (25) ,my mom, and my little sister (11) flew into Puerto Rico a day early. We loved Puerto Rico, we stayed in Old San Juan, and its true it does come to life at night. My mother said she heard horns blowing, bass, and police sirens until about 4 am! I didn't hear anything :) We got to the port at 12 and they said it would be after 2 until we could get on. This went on all afternoon, finally after 3 when they said it would be after 4 and there was still 1500 passengers on board, we left and got lunch. We were credited $15 pp per Carnival, lunch cost close to $70. The boat is old and in need of an update. The muster drill was a joke. I liked the ports. We went shopping and to Magen's Bay in St. Thomas. River Tubing and to Emerald Pool in Dominica. Snorkeling with the turtles and the shipwreck in Barbados. It was so windy in Barbados and I got soaked, I about froze. Beware the rum punch here was very strong. We went on the Pirate cruise in St. Lucia, this was a lot of fun!! We went Snorkeling with the stingrays in Antigua, this was a bit of a disappointment, as the stingrays were in an enclosed area. We took a water taxi to the beach in St. Kitts and met this cute little monkey! My favorite island was prob. Puerto Rico, least favorite Barbados...we may have missed something here..Dinner was the same as it always is. I am a vegetarian so there is not a lot for me or for my little sister. I went to few shows by myself my sister was too tired for a 10:30 show after being out all day. The comedians were hilarious!! They messed up my sail and sign card half way through the trip, but they fixed it at the pursers desk quickly. I couldn't go without drinks! Debarkation was bad too. It took 2 hours of standing and sitting to get off the boat. We missed the deadline to sign up for the luggage thing. We stored our luggage across the street from the port, very cheap! My sister and I ended up in a parade for independence or something in PR(they were voting in the Primaries that day) The ports were awesome but I will NOT leave out of Puerto Rico again. Yes most of the population is Puerto Rican, but they are very nice. Most speak some english.
