This was my second cruise, but the first w/ Royal Caribbean. My family and I had a wonderful time (I'm a college student) We are locals to the Baltimore area, so embarkation couldn't be made any easier. The staff at the port were very patient and cordial, making the process go more smoothly. Our ports of call included San Juan, Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, Samana Dominican Republic, and Labadee Haiti.

Overall, the cruise staff was very upbeat in getting passengers involved with daily activities--which include dance lessons, rock climbing, bingo, etc. Simeon is a great cruise director, and while he makes bad jokes at times--his charisma never ceases to displease. Every member of the staff, from dining to housekeeping does an exceptional job. The ship was clean and I was very impressed. The on board shopping has a lot to offer. If you are looking for fine jewelry, I highly recommend the shops on board--I found a better selection (and higher quality) than the ports' jewelry stores had. The entertainment is worth watching; some of the highlights included Haine's Magic and the Beatlemanics- a must see! You never have to walk far for a drink, bar staff is constantly in motion offering service to those lounging on the decks, etc. Men of Culture is the on board band that really gets you in the mood to dance on deck!! San Juan-- an interesting town. We spent most of our time at the old fort which is located almost directly in front of the port. You definitely don't want to forget your camera; there are some breathtaking views from the top. This port also offers a nice shopping experience, including Coach, Dooney and Bourke & Ralph Lauren. The famous Senor Frogs is also here.

St. Thomas- one of my favorite stops. we took a tour with a man named Chicago. I was a little hesitant just because most tours are monotonous and boring but he was energetic, fun and took us to some of the most beautiful beaches I've ever seen in my life. He showed us Magen's bay, however we relaxed at a private beach in the Ritz Carlton. No other tour will take you there so if you happen to find him, take him up on it. It's 20 dollars round trip for a tour of the entire place. He also took us to Paradise Point, one of the highest places on the island--it was quite thrilling. Do not miss this if you get the chance. St. Thomas is also a great shopping port, which includes shops such as Coach, Tiffany's, and Longchamp.
