Day 1 Got an early flight to Barcelona .We took Barcelona-airport-tranfers to port Moll D'Adossat. Excellent and efficient service, I would highly recommend them. As expected the check in process at the terminal was slow but tolerable. Once checked in we headed to the Windjammer for lunch. Such a welcoming crews. Especially one in Windjammer :) Day 2 Our first port of call was Marseilles,France. We were asked to book the shuttle ticket the day before. But on the day itself people still have the option to buy. Provencal rain doesn't really help the day. Took petit train up to Notre-Dame-de-la-Garde .Honestly there's nothing much to do here if you have such a limited time. That night we had a formal dinner. Time to glam up. The sea was quite rough that night. Day 3 Cagliari, Sardinia - Took the bus from Piazza Matteotti to Poetto beach. Beach is gorgeous. Its a little chilly to swim. We had very little time on this stop and had to rush back to the ship. At night the guys spent most of their time in the casino playing craps. They loved it. Day 4 Palermo,Sicily - Took the city sightseeing hop-on-hop-off bus. Bought the ticket straight away when you disembarked from the ship .Went around town and walk half way back to get on the other bus line. Very tiring day but we covered most of the town. It's a nice town and people are very relaxed compared with other Italian cities. Day 5 Day at sea - Gym, spa treatment, Jacuzzi and ice-skating. Weather wasn't really nice to sun bathe unfortunately. Day 6 Barcelona, Spain- Check out process was smooth but getting taxi to La Ramblas was a pain. Queued for 1 hour and finally reach our Modernista apartment on Santa Anna. Very well located and highly recommended. Onboard activities - Definitely ice skating / rock climbing / crazy golf Ship - Enormous and nicely decorated. Much younger crowds compared to one last year Itinerary - If you want to cover most stops , a bit tiring as the time given is a bit short. Also the is nothing special about most town except Barcelona . Shows - Great shows especially the acrobats and ice skating. String Fever is our favorites. Cruise director Kieran, such good singer and entertainer Food - Fresh food everyday. Definitely try the garlic baked escargot on the main dining. A bit hard to find table at times at Windjammer . Cabin - We booked interior rooms on deck 10. Comfortable and reasonable size. Had a great trip, bring on the next cruise .... La Caribbean of course ...
