Embarkation: We love leaving out of NY since that means we can drive straight to the port. Our travel agent told us that by having our boarding pass printed out ahead of time and registering our credit card online we would avoid a long line at check-in. But we did have to wait on line. Even though we registered our credit card on the Cruise Personalizer on the website we still had to give them our credit card and we had to have the card we registered with or we would have had to use another credit card. Good thing I had the card with me or I would have had to use a card I didn't want to use. The lines went fairly quick and it was pretty organized. Unlike some other cruise lines Princess allows you to bring wine or champagne on board which is a plus.

Cabin: We had an outside cabin with an obstructed view which was fine. We could see outside with no problem and it was nice to have daylight in the room. I have to say the shower in the bathroom was very small. It was the size of a shower you would find in a camper. The closet was big and the room was a nice size. The beds were comfortable and Florin, our cabin steward, was excellent. Dining: We opted for Anytime Dining because we liked it so much on the Norwegian Cruise Line. We preferred eating in the Coral Dining room to the Palm Dining room. The staff was friendlier and easier to joke around with. They always tried their best to have all 16 of us sit together. We were even given options as to what tables were available and if we wanted to wait a few minutes to have tables closer to each other or to be seated right away and have the tables be a little father apart. Even on the nights our tables were not right next to each other it was not a problem we just split up 8 and 8, usually by family or adults/kids. In the Palm Dining room the wait staff would always show you 2 bottles of water and ask which one you prefer, we would always say"just regular water". Of course they are hoping you will pick one, thinking you had no other choice and then charge you for it. They never did that in the Coral Dining room. The Palm said we should call ahead since our group was so big but the Coral didn't have a problem with it. Twice we were given a pager and we were able to get our formal night pictures taken while we were waiting for the table. The buffet was very good as well. There was always a variety of food to choose from. On the pool deck you could get burgers, hotdogs, sauerbraten or pizza. The pizza was very good. It tasted just like typical NY pizza- we were surprised at how good it was.

Entertainment: One word "Wavelength". This live rock band was excellent! It was our saving grace as far as the entertainment goes. We went to see them every night at the Explorers Lounge. We especially liked the "So You Wanna Be A Rockstar" show, where you get to go up and sing with the band. It is even better than karaoke because you are singing with a live band! 11 from our group got up and sang. It was the best night we had on the cruise. Scott, Rich, Chris and Phil are great guys and they were happy to take requests. They are really talented and play a mix of music that we all enjoyed. They also played on deck the night of the sail away party and they really rocked the place. The MUTS (Movies Under The Stars) was pretty cool. We watched the Tina Turner concert and the U2 concert. We also saw Transformers and Borne Ultimatum. Sarge the comedian had us in stitches. We laughed so much our eyes were watering and our sides hurt. Some of us went to 3 of his shows, they were all different and they were all great. We never laughed so hard for so long. The husband and wife team "Kamika" were good too. He was an awesome guitar player and she was funny. I had read on Cruise Critic that there was a Beatlemania show on the cruise but they didn't have that show while we were on the ship. Itinerary: I would have preferred the reverse itinerary that this ship goes by during different weeks. If we would have picked a different week it would have been the reverse itinerary and we would have been in Puerto Rico from 10:00am-11:00pm, which would have given us more time to see that city. St.Thomas was the best port. The driver who took us to Coki Beach gave us a great tour on the way and he even offered to come back and get us in time for us to get back on the ship. Margaritaville at Grand Turk was alot of fun. The bar was in the pool and there was a DJ there. Bermuda didn't have much to offer at the part of the island where the boat docked. The water was still a little chilly for swimming. Some of our group went to the beach and a few of us went on the Glass Bottom Boat excursion.
