Sail Date: May 2008

We are in our 50's, about seventeen cruises between us. Being from the south, it was a long nine hour flight to Honolulu. We stayed at the Hilton Prince Kuhio. It was cool and trendy with nice facilities, one block off the beach. We arrived Wednesday night, toured Waikiki, Diamondhead (beautiful views), all of Ohau and Pearl Harbor, and boarded Saturday. Used a rental here as well as all Islands...Thrifty, for the most part, just fine. Gas is running around $4.20 a gallon. Don't ignore the coasts and other areas of Oahu -- its a beautiful Island from the Pali overlook to the North Shore.

When we arrived for embarkation at 2:00, no one, I mean no one, was in line. We sailed through. By 2:30, we were in our room. The room, an outside with a nice view of a lifeboat, was great. Super bed, nice space, hot water, just fine.

The ship has no spacious interior atriums, and as such, at first, seems a little tight. But you get used to it. It was clean, well laid out and sufficient for a trip where you are onshore most of the time. One nice thing about the ship...no pressure...to buy drinks, to buy pictures, to buy art, to buy...anything. Liked that.
