This was my second cruise, the first for my boyfriend. We are both in our mid -twenties, I was told by the travel agent that this cruise was for an "older crowd" but I wanted a calm cruise and not a wild one.

We left from Fort Lauderdale, and we both flew in from New York. We left JFK at 7am and got to the port at approx. 11am. Take a taxi they are there outside Ft. Lauderdale airport. Ten bucks each way, you save $$ by not taking the Princess bus. We were amazed at the size of the GRAND PRINCESS. We waited outside for an hour and they we brought into this room where we checked in. The check in process was extremely quick, we then got our picture taken (one of many) and we went to our room.

We got an inside stateroom, a big enough room for two people. Nice refrigerator, TV, small bathroom. To put it this way it was a good deal considering we paid only $499 each for it. Next time I will spend the extra money for a balcony but this room was fine enough for the thrifty traveler.
