Myself, my sister and two children said the Legend on 4/27/08. We flew in the day before and stayed at Embassy Suites Downtown in Tampa. Even though it cost $190. for the night it was an excellent new hotel, with separate bedroom and living/wet bar area. We walked around Channelside and had a nice lunch, and then hung out at the pool at the hotel. There is a very extensive breakfast buffet which is included, as well as a Starbucks right in the lobby.

We took a cab to the pier around 12:00, and the port was mobbed. My sister waited in the giant line while I went to the VIP area due to my Cat 11, and we ended up being done at the same time! There was a group in the VIP area that was putting pax on 10 different credit cards and really held us up. I should have gotten in line with my sister. We went up to Lido and had something to eat, and then to our rooms. Some of our luggage was already there, I was impressed. Muster was quick and painless.

Cabin: I had booked the best room ever a year in advance, an aft balcony wrap on Deck 8, right below the adult pool. It was awesome. I loved the setup of the room with a separate bedroom w/doors, dressing room and 2 sink bathroom, and a real shower/jet tub w/glass doors. There was plenty of room for myself and 2 kids, one sleeping on the bed/couch. The balcony was huge and nice and private, you could only see people hanging out over the Lido rail if you went to your rail and looked up. In the morning the deck chairs were wet, but I just brought a towel out and good to go. Our room steward, Ignatio was awesome, I had a couple of problems, my safe didn't work (the battery was dead), and one of my sink drains stuck closed. He got someone from maintenance right up there to address these issues. I always had fresh ice twice a day, and he greeted us all by name in the hall, a really nice fellow, we left him a great extra deserved tip.

Cabin Review

Cabin 11

Awesome-5 stars! Very quiet, adult pool overhead, never heard anything being dragged on pool deck, did get woken up once by the anchor dropping. Best Cat 11 room on this ship!
