First let me start by saying I am not as worldly as some of the cruisecritic members, but I am by no means a cruising novice. My wife and I are in the range of 50 plus age group and we were traveling with two other couples. One couple has cruised twice and the other has never cruised before.
We arrived at Cape liberty and got our bags unloaded without any problems. As we are Platinum members (by virtue of Celebrity) we were able to use the lounge and had absolutely no wait. We arrived at noon and we were on the ship by 12:40.
Upon entering the ship we were told that the state rooms would be ready at 1:00, when we got to our deck we were told we couldn't access our rooms until 1:30 (just poor communication). The stateroom was nice, d-2 8342, but there was cigarette butts on the balcony and being a cancer survivor, that turned me off. Well to make a long story short, those butts were still there when we disembarked yesterday, ten days later. It is the first time in my cruising history, I had to ask for towels, three times. There was no attention to detail.
