A terrific cruise -- we boarded in New orleans after three days of New Orleans fun--Boarding was painless -- we were on the ship by 12 noon-- dropped our luggage at our suite and went to Windows for lunch. From that point on the service was the best we ever had on a cruise or land tour. every request was met with smiles and a can do attitude-- walking from one end to the the other end of the ship came with so many smiles and greetings from the crew that you had to try hard not to be happy. Suite We were in suite 9212 which has a very large bathroom with a whirlpool tub and very very large shower-- the bathroom was completely tile with two sinks--the bed was very comfortable-- king size-- the bedroom was small and lacked adequate storage space for a suite. Overall I rate the suite as good compared to others we have stayed in. It needs to be redone in the yards-- there is wear in the bathrooms and living areas. The balcony was wonderful --right in the center of the ship on the aft end-- what a view of the statute of Liberty when we pulled in to NY. Two chairs, two chase lounges, and a table where on the balcony which is long but not very wide. Food/service

We had dinner in Windows, Cagney's, Le Bistro, Shoguns, Sushi, Raffles buffet. i rate the food from good to excellent. After three cruises on NCl this year the menus in the speciality restaurants need to be revised and changed. Cagney's was ok -- I had the porterhouse steak one time and prime rib the second time-- both was just good-- service was outstanding as well as the starters and deserts. Le Bistro on this ship is not very intimate-- it is very crowded with tables-- food was excellent here -- i had the short ribs-- the best i ever had-- they even made me bananas foster on request. Again service outstanding. my favorite restaurant was Shoguns and the Sushi bar-- i ad the best tempura and sushi. my wife and i really enjoyed this restaurant the service and the maitre where outstanding. Windows was excellent also-- they had a different menus for all fourteen days-- food was above good to excellent-- service was good to outstanding. the various cold/hot soups in windows were outstanding as well as starters. The Hotel Director, who we had dinner with one evening in Windows-- explained they we beginning to roll out upgraded menus in the main dining areas for 2.0. We had duck one night which was terrific. PORTS NEW ORLEANS--outstanding--what else can you say. felt completely safe there. Roatan-- ship issued this port due to medical emergency. very disappointed-- NCL did not even refund the port fees -- directed out of Miami-- i am writing a letter to the CEO about this. Santo Tomas, guatemala-- great port did the humanitarian tour with Gus-- the best tour I ever took-- Gus is truly a humanitarian and a wonderful man to talk with and be around-- can not wait to see him again. belize-- did the NCL Lamanai tour up the river et. long long tour. great to see--for the historical reasons-- saw the growler monkeys in the park--this was quite a treat, very very hot. Aruba-- walked around/took short city tour from vendor--this port is too commercialized for my taste-- you can keep it. Curacao-- used Leo Patte has a private guide -- all day-- saw the complete island great tour guide -- well worth the money--lot to see on this island. St Thomas-- miserable-- two crowded, used goddfrey-- terrible tour---did a little shopping-- next time we are here we will either go to another island off the coast or stay on ship. Samana-- great new place-- will improve as ships visit-- beautiful location-- need more excursions. My wife says shopping for crafts etc was the best and least expensive here.

Entertainment comedians were all very very good-- broadway shows were excellent. Crew show was outstanding with native dances from different countries.
