This was our fourth Royal Caribbean cruise in the last five years. My husband and I have taken our two children on a total of five cruises. We have sailed on two other Voyager class ships- Explorer and Navigator and had wonderful experiences on those ships, so we were looking forward to sailing on Adventurer of the Seas. We had an outstanding time aboard this marvelous ship.

We booked our cruise back in July '07 through Royal Caribbean. We got what I consider to be a great price for our trip. This cruise left out of San Juan, Puerto Rico so we decided to arrive two days early to extend our vacation. We had an early morning flight to SJU arriving at 10:30am. The airport is very well run and we got our luggage easily and took a taxi to our hotel. It was a 15 minute cab ride and it cost about $17. We stayed at the Marriott Stellaris Resort and Casino which is located on Condado beach. The hotel was lovely and it was right on the beach. We arrived at about 11:30am and although check-in was 3pm our room was ready by 1pm which was great because we were able to get settled in and enjoy the facilities. The surrounding area is Ok and there are restaurants and a Walgreens Pharmacy within walking distance.

On the day of the cruise we took a 20 minute taxi ride to the pier (about $20.) We arrived at the pier at about 11:30am and only waited on a line for about 20 minutes until we were let inside to check-in. It is very important to remember to complete all of your cruise documents on the computer prior to arriving at the pier because it speeds up the check-in process. Our check-in went very quickly and smoothly and we had virtually no wait. We boarded the ship by noon and were welcomed by the ship staff and told to feel free to go to deck eleven for lunch at the Windjammer. Our cabins were ready at about1pm and our luggage was delivered at about 3:30pm.
