This cruise (March 14-17) was a surprise birthday getaway my husband planned for us and was our 13th cruise (8th with RCCL). We left our 2 kids home this time and boy was it relaxing just to sit and do nothing :) We had perfect weather and the Majesty did not disappoint.

Flight: We flew in the day before from Phoenix on Delta and were in first class, can we say husband of the year? I have never flown 1st before and going there the plane was very nice with large comfy seats, individual TV screens and the service was fantastic. Coming home we also flew Delta in 1st class and this was not so nice, old plane and flight attendants that wanted to sit and gossip the entire flight. Verdict on 1st class- if flying internationally go for it, domestic save your money for something else - like another cruise:)

Hotel: We arrived in Miami at 6p and since we got in late and weren't looking to do the South Beach scene we stayed at the Wyndham by the airport. They have a complimentary shuttle to and from the airport and we were checked in quickly upon arrival. The hotel clearly has been recently remodeled and is nice and clean, definitely ok for a 1 night pre-cruise stay. Our room was on the construction side and was so loud. If you ever stay here ask for a room on the golf course side, unfortunately they were full and were unable to switch our room. That night we took a 5 minute cab ride to Catch of the Day and it was awesome, I highly recommend this place for very fresh and yummy seafood.
