This was the 6th Royal Caribbean cruise for myself and my husband and son. It was our first time on the Jewel. We were on the Serenade last year and loved it which made us want to go on her sister. The itinerary also was appealing because we had not visited some of the ports.

The Jewel was just as beautiful as the Serenade. It is nice to feel so familiar and comfortable when you walk onto the ship. When we cruise we feel as it the ships are our vacation homes. Since we arrived the day before to stay with family in florida, we had no pressure in the morning and arrived around 12:30 to the ship. Boarding was easy and we went to the Windjammer for lunch. Our cabin was ready by 1:00 PM.

The cabin was a hump balcony on deck nine. It was a perfect location close to the elevators , quiet, and of course nothing can beat a balcony. Our stateroom attendant wasn't very visible all week however she did an awesome job and we always had great towel animals each night!
