As a family with a child I can honestly say there is no other cruise line for us. The moment we walked in we were escorted to a special line for "Castaway Club Members" (or those who have cruised with Disney before.) We we not in line more then 10 minutes before we had our special cards & necklaces made just for us. They have it set up so that you can sign up your child for the different kids clubs while you wait to go on board which I thought was wonderful. Once on board you see the elegant interior that only Disney can display. Glass chandeliers is all different colors hanging from the ceiling. Glass elevators stairs going up with the staff standing on either side waiting to greet you. As you walk on board they announce your name and everyone claps. You then go to eat a nice lunch in either the Parrot Cay or the Buffet above. This was not sandwiches either we had vegs, different meats of course the grill was open full salad bar, fruits, and the desserts are some of the best you have ever put in your mouth. One thing I like about Disney the coke's are free & so is room service. As soon as we finished eating our cabin was ready, so we were able to go and change in our cabin. My husband always likes to get to know the staff, and they are and have always been very tolerant of him and his many question. He likes to get pictures of them and really get to know them so that when we go back the following year they always remember us. People think Disney is just for kids, well I'm here to tell you that is completely untrue! I liked their new navigator (or newsletter) it had all of the times laid out and all of the different events going on during the day for the different age groups. It was easy to read and everything was in one place. They have movies, Bingo, dancing, theater, comics with family & adult only shows. They did how well do you know your spouse, and things like that in the night clubs. Wed. I think it was they had pirates night with the dinner theme and a party on the top deck including fireworks. Everynight at dinner there seemed to be a theme and they would dance. There was so much going on I just don't remember it all. What I enjoyed the most was our deck. I would tell you where it is, but then everyone would know, so I can't. Whenever my husband and I wanted to just have quite time we would go to our deck and sit in our chairs and watch the ocean. That is why I like cruising, quite peaceful & relaxing. My husband and my son thoroughly enjoy Castaway Cay (their private island) every time we go. This last time they went snorkeling for 3 hours and didn't even realize they were gone that long. The water is so beautiful and clear you can see straight down. I have meet many older people without children, honeymooners and just couples who went on Disney because of the reputation and the luxury of Disney. I always hear "Disney cost more" well in my search for cruises I have not found this to be true. There is always the old saying " you get what you pay for." I have been on other cruise lines & I have family members who have been on both and they regretted not going with us that year on Disney. For anyone who wants to go on a cruise, but can't decide which one try Disney with or without children you will not regret it. Cynthia Georgia
