We flew in the day before the cruise and stayed at the La Pensione which is walking distance to ship might not be if carrying all your luggage, priced in the $100 range nice clean ,bar -restaurant across street .

Embarking we arrived at 11:00 by cab $6.00 from hotel directed too the terminal we had VIP perks from carnival vacation club so very fast check in and were on the ship by 12:00 and drink in hand . we explored the ship for a hour and were in our room by 1:00 and bags shortly after at 2:00 real fast and all the bags made it too!!!
