My wife and I are from Toronto and were having a week getaway from our three boys. We are both 30 and enjoy the value of cruising.
Arrived a couple days earlier to check out the Toronto Blue Jays Spring Training game and Leafs vs Lightning hockey game. Arrived the day of cruise around noon and found that many people were already there. Boarding was swift and easy. No problems with our carry-on bottles of wine.
We headed up for lunch on Lido deck and sat outside overlooking the harbor. We didn't like the buffet on Royal and likewise didn't really enjoy this either. But it is food, and if you are hungry, anything will do. The decor of the ship is old and tacky. They say it is 12 years old but the Atrium looks like something from the 70's.
