Review of Jewel of the Seas - Eastern Caribbean - February 23rd - March 2nd, 2008

We were on The Jewel of the Seas February 23rd - March 2nd, 2008 and here is my full review. This was our 8th cruise overall, 4th on Royal Caribbean and 2nd time in the Eastern Caribbean. My husband and I are between 46 - 50 and we traveled in a large group with 22 people that ranged in ages from 43 - 78. We had traveled in a large group before and really enjoyed the combination of friends and "friends of friends" that we had not met before.

OVERALL: We had an EXCELLENT time on this cruise. We picked this boat for several reasons and I was very pleased in all aspects. First of all it is a great size. There were approximately 2100 people on our sailing yet you never really felt like the boat was crowded EXCEPT when it was an "at sea" day and everyone was crowded around the main outdoor pool. The Radiance Family class is also very nice because it has a large glass atrium that provides a lot of light as well as a good central point for the boat making it very easy to get around and learn the layout of the boat. This cruise was an 8 day itinerary which very much appealed to me since we have done all 7 day cruises in the past. The 8th day really does make your trip feel longer because it went from Saturday through Sunday and you feel like you've made the most of your weekends on both ends of the trip.
