My wife and I joined the Spirit on 26/02/08 after staying overnight at the Holiday Inn on the Bay, this made getting to the ship very easy as it is across the road. The check in staff were great (as we did not print the correct paperwork),very polite and helpful. Once on board the crew were all so helpful and polite,we thought it could not last- but it did.(Even to those Guests on board who chose to be plain rude and talk down to the crew) The cabin steward (Abe)seemed to be on duty all time and was great at producing the Towel Animals,we ran out of idea's to add to them.(putting sun glasses on them cigs in mouth ect.)It was never a problem to come back later or wait for for us to finish up.Oh and the cabin was always spotless after he was done.

We ate breakfast and lunches in the self service area and were able to find a good variation,as much or as little as you like (one of us really got HIS moneys worth)Eggs taste as they should. The staff working the Area were straight in to clear the tables and reset them,so we never had to hang about. All but one evening meal was taken in the Empire dining room, our waiter(Maros) and his assistant (his name evades me)were right on the ball.I would put them on a par with any waiting staff in any top restaurant (and I've had to take HER to some)in over 30 years. Showing us tricks and their ability to entertain by singing and dancing at the end of meals. We also had a meal at the supper club and advise anyone going to eat very little on that day, or you will end up leaving that fab food on the plate (or like one of us having to release the waist band of HIS pants).Again waiting staff did a great job. I (being HIM) could bore you about the food as I loved it.

Moving on to the BAR we tended to go into the Cigar bar as she who must be obeyed is a smoker.Vinta took the first day to know and remember our drinks we also got table service from Hanna, who was just so cute and as she also covered our table in the dining room, we had it made. The Casino is what you would expect, Aiden the host is on hand to look after the guests in his domain.
