We had booked a guaranteed balcony and was upgraded to 9A. This was a beautiful room, the largest we ever had. It had both a window and a balcony. The ship is very beautiful with each area having a theme such as the jungle room and the pharaoh's theater. The theater was magnificent in design. The shows were at or better than expected. Only disappointment was Mrs. Hughes' adult only comedy. Don't know if it was part of her act or she is getting old but she kept stopping and trying to remember where she was in her joke. The production numbers were great and the two lead singers had terrific voices. We were surprised that this cruise only has two leads. We ate all our meals in the main dining rooms. We had asked for a large table and on arriving found out we were at a two person. The maitre'd was very happy to change it. The food was great with many exotic choices. I am a plain eater and found that the alternate selection pleased me. Try the fruit plate under alternatives for a terrific appetizer. All the staff were above par except for those running the games. For the trivia, brain teasers, etc, the crew was usually late. The questions were hard to understand do to accents and english being a second language to many of the crew. One thing that was definitely uncalled for was the staff wearing wings and flouncing around calling each other the liquor fairy. Bars were usually empty leaving the entertainers lonely. There is a room, the Versailles, on the first floor that I am not sure most people found. There were guards in front of the disco in the evening to stop children from entering. One other problem was the casino seemed to be completely smoking rather than having a smoke free area.

spirit was heavenly
