Because this was a charter some of the usual features of a regular cruise were not observed. Embarkation - The in-processing by HAL was fantastic. The only negative was luggage porters were not available to off load luggage from the cab and transport to the ship area. We had an inside, aft cabin on deck 4. This gave us quick and easy access to the elevators and to the Lido deck; plus one deck down to the main dining room. Lido Restaurant - the food and the service was excellent. Main Dining Room - dining times were from 5:30 - 7:30 and there were no reservations, but we never waited more than five minutes to be seated. The food was average, but the service was slow. I am sure it is difficult to determine appropriate staffing when the ship does not know how many or when people are coming to dinner. Excursions - We took one excursion we booked outside the ship and it was fantastic (zodiac whale watching with Oceanriders in Cabo). We talked with people who booked other tours through the ship and they were pleased. Spa - My wife loved the spa. Disembarkation - Everything went smoothly. We enjoyed the trip although the weather was bad. The ship and staff could not have been more hospitable.
