Traveled with children

So we took a cruise. This was only our second cruise. The first was our honeymoon cruise 8 years ago. This one was a family cruise with 35+ friends and family...and oh by the way..we had 2 small children with us this time.

The embarking process was a disaster with 2 small children but let's not dwell on that...it is what it is. After the first day...things were great. THe cruise director was awesome..Richard..although he stole all of my dance moves...he was wonderful..and HOT but that's irrelevant. The only negative things I can say...the shows were so so..and the aqua tots for the children under 3 were a joke. Those are my only complaints. The programs for the kids...I can't speak more highly of. My son is 5 and was in the 3 - 5 group..and I had to bribe him not to go to adventure ocean..every minute of the day he said he wanted to be in the adventure ocean...they did so many wonderful activities. My nephews were in the 9 - 11 group and everytime I saw them they had new apparel thanks to winning stuff in the kids program.

The food was normal cruise food..although we didn't go to all dinners..our waitresses were wonderful...the pool was great..even for my non-potty trained child...he just had a small pool that he could go into. I dreaded it prior to the trip but it was not crowded and they did an excellent job keeping potty trained kids out of it. I had no problem getting a chair at the pool but my 2 year old dragged me there after breakfast so we were there by 9 am.
