To start out, this was a cruise for rest and relaxation. My husband and I have been on four other cruises, all Carnival. The couple that went with us were newbies. We drove down from Northeast Arkansas, so we left Friday night around 11:00 so we could have breakfast at Cafe Du Monde. A neat experience, but I like Denny's better!

We got to the port around 9:00, hoping we could go ahead and park and they went ahead to took our luggage. They explained to us that we could not check it until 11:00. They were very friendly. So we went to the Riverwalk and just walked around until then. The check in was just like all the other check in's. I felt this staff was more friendly though.

We went to the Lido Deck as soon as we got on the ship, had lunch. The Fantasy is brighter than the other ships than we had been on. Its a older ship but well taken care of. Its time for a dry dock but they have really taken care of it. I did notice that some of the bathrooms were pretty dirty, but that did not stop us from having a great time.
