My children and I started a tradition about 4 years ago by taking a trip to a new destination each summer. We prefer cruising because it offers us a better deal budget wise than taking a trip by flying or driving. It also offers us the opportunity to see more countries this way as well. We had cruised on Carnival before and had a great experience (we cruised on the Sensation out of Tampa, Florida going to Cozumel, Mexico) and we decided after taking a cruise to Hawaii on the Pride of Aloha by Norwegian (do not recommend this cruise line at all!) that we would go back on Carnival again. We wanted to go to the Caribbean so we booked a cruise to Jamaica and the Grand Cayman Islands aboard Carnival's Imagination. Once again we got great service and the cruise was wonderful! The ship is clean and roomy as well as the food is great. Carnival offers a wide variety of things to do onboard and if you like to wait later in the evening to eat that is not a problem. You can even get pizza all night long if you want! The ship has ice cream and treats very late at night as well. The rooms are very nice and the beds are wonderful. I am a picky person when it comes to a mattress but on the beds in my room on both ships I have slept like a baby and awoke rested and ready to go again. The service is wonderful on this cruise line. The crew is very nice and helpful and treat you with great respect and courtesy. The shore excursions that we took were great. We went out on a reef to swim and play with the stingrays on Grand Cayman Island and at Jamaica we went ATV riding. That is a must if you go there! We had so much fun and I am an old fart but I had the time of my life!!!! We are looking forward to our next cruise. I know it will be on a Carnival cruise but just haven't decided where! The only bad part of this cruise was the port.....Miami. I would definitely tell you to get on board somewhere else!!!
