My wife and her 17 year-old son, and me, booked a Royal Suite on Celebrity's Century for the week of Christmas 2007. The cruise was for 5 nights, but the Century alternates between 5 night and 4 night Western Caribbean itineraries this current winter/spring season. We stopped at Grand Cayman and Cozumel, but sometimes the stops are Key West and G.C.

If you can afford it, I highly recommend the Royal Suite - of which there are only eight on board the Century, all on deck 10. Prices are more reasonable during non-peak (i.e. Christmas, New year's, Easter recess week) periods, but we got a pretty good deal on the Royal Suite and are happy we booked it.

The cabin is about 510 sq feet (just the inside), with a separate bedroom that has a huge walk-in closet that has a vanity mirror w/shelf on the back wall. My wife loved that feature. The bathroom is also pretty large, with separate glass-door shower stall and separate whirlpool tub. The bathroom floors are marble tile, and there is lots of cabinet space for your stuff. And there is a 42" LCD TV in the bedroom, too. In the LR, there are two sofas, one which opens up to a nice-sized bed, and there are also a couple of comfortable chairs. And a 42" LCD TV in the LR, too. In the dining area, there is a table that seats 6, a small fridge, and some counter space that our Butler (yes, you also get a Butler in addition to a stateroom attendant in the Royal Suite), Keith (from Goa, India) adorned with free fruit bowls, stationery with our name on it, etc. I have read other reviews of the provision of a butler by Celebrity for suites, and many said "why?". I can tell you that our butler Keith was wonderful, and he not only brought afternoon tea (simple sandwiches, pastries, tea, honey) to us on afternoons that we were at sea (two days of the cruise), but he took care of reservations for us in the Casual Restaurant on two nights, and also arranged reservations for my wife and stepson at the Spa, and got us 7 a.m. FULL breakfasts (eggs, toast, bacon, OJ, etc) for 3 mornings in our suite, and finally, he recommended that we be invited to sit at the Captain's Table on Christmas Night, the only formal night of this 5 night cruise. This was the first time that my wife and I have been invited to sit at the Captain's Table, and we have been on five cruises (HAL, Princess, RCCL, and Celebrity twice) over the last 15 years. My stepson did not care for the formal night, but even he liked the idea of sitting at the Captain's Table for dinner.
