DW and I are in our 50's and this was our second cruise. Our last cruise was on the Ryndam in the mid 90's. This was our first cruise on the new Vista class ships and I was looking forward to being on this particular cruise because of my previous excellent experience with HAL. We wanted the extra sea days to enjoy the ship and the ports or call. I wasn't disappointed as this trip was fantastic.

Embarkation: We flew into LGA a few days before departure. We signed up on the CC roll call and I got to know a lot of CCers on the board. Thanks to Bob, Steve, and many others. It was a great way of getting to know others especially at our two Meet and Greet events.

We made our own flight arrangements and arranged for our own pre-trip and post-trip hotel stays and transfers and did not use any HAL transfers. Read more
