This was our 13th cruise, first and last time on NCL. The 8 night Mexico itinerary is great, much better than all the 7 night ones. We took this cruise because of the itinerary and the pricing was extremely low, but you definitely got what you paid for. I wish more cruises would do this itinerary. No complaints here. So tired of seeing Cabo, Mazatlan and PV. This was a nice change to see Acapulco and Ixtapa and also have the 8 nights because the first night always goes so fast on a cruise and it was so nice to know we had 7 left. Note: In Acapulco don't pay for the ship's tour excursion. There are quality taxi drivers that stand outside the ship putting nice groups together of 8 to 10 people for a 5 hour tour for only 25 pp. I highly recommend it. They took us all over Acapulco getting to see some of the best sites including the cliff divers, the best view of Acapulco Bay there is at Sr. Frogs for lunch, some fancy hotels and some history. I highly recommend it. Our cab driver had been doing it for 30 years and was absolutely wonderful.

Embarkation was nice and smooth and went quick. No complaints or problems with this.

Cabins - We had a balcony cabin on deck 10 near the aft. The cabin was absolutely filthy and I mean disgustingly dirty. You could see dust everywhere in the higher places where most people wouldn't look, the fridge had someone's melted candy bar all over it, the comforter wasn't even clean, as it had some sticky stuff all over it. The coffee pot was so dirty, it wasn't funny. The assistant female cabin attendant was down right rude and not helpful to us at all. The sliding door on the shower is nice and the shower is roomy. I liked the shower. The concept of having the sliding door on the toilet is a good idea, but you couldn't even move if you had it closed, just way too tight quarters. I highly recommend that you bring your own coffee and filters. It is like pulling teeth to get even one pack of caffeine coffee, let alone 2. In fact, we never once got a pack. One pack of decaffeinated sat there all week. The people we went with didn't bring their own coffee and they could never, ever get a pack, so we shared ours. We did like the concept of at least having a coffee maker in our rooms, as no other lines do it, so that was a plus, but I'm so glad I brought my own coffee. The beds were harder than a brick and the lowest standard of bedding we've seen on any cruise line. I do know that this ship is going in for dry doc after this season, and they need it. On the balcony on the ground by the railing it was rusted and had water and gross things floating around in it. We did not think this ship was maintained very well at all.
