Norwegian Dawn 12/09-12/16

Being first-time cruisers, we only had information from others who had cruised before. Our best source of information was my sister, who had told me many things to do and avoid while cruising. Her input was so helpful to us and I wanted to share some things that we learned on our cruise.

Our main concern was whether or not we would become seasick on this cruise. We came well-armed with all of the seasick meds. We took the pills, had the seasick bands, and had some all natural drops to put behind our ears. When we suffered no effects from the motion, we used nothing the last three days of the cruise. I think motion sickness is a personal thing, and either you're gonna get sick, or you're not. I can tell you that we skirted Hurricane Olga that week, and with up to 18 foot waves, I was thrilled to have available anything known to man to keep us from getting sick! It's much easier to be prepared than to take a chance of ruining your much deserved vacation!
