A little about us, the wife and I are in our mid 40's, married 26 years and this will be our second cruise, our first cruise was on NCL Star - Mexican Riviera in November 2006. We were also accompanied by my in-laws; this will be their first cruise (celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary). We flew into Miami the day before our cruise because of not knowing what the weather would be like in Wisconsin. Also we wanted to be relaxed and not rushed the day of our cruise.

Day 1 It was 19 degrees outside and 4 degrees wind chill and cloudy. (Wisconsin) Thursday It was 84 degrees and sunny outside (Miami)

We flew on Delta Airlines and very smooth flights. When we arrived in Miami, we got our luggage and went outside to catch a cab. Had to wait about 5 minutes for a minivan cab because there were 4 adults and 7 large suitcases. After we all got into the cab with the luggage I told the cab driver which hotel we were staying at and the driver never said one word even after asking him some questions about the city, nothing. We stayed at the Holiday Inn downtown. The cab ride took about 15 minutes from the airport to the hotel and cost $24.30 plus tip.
