Overall: Although my husband and I have cruised four times together on commercial ships, and many times on our own boat (plus my husband's cruises courtesy of the US Navy), this was the first time we had cruised with Royal Caribbean. We were looking forward to it with great anticipation because we had heard great things about the food and service of this line, and we loved the itinerary. Unfortunately our experience caused my husband to state upon disembarking that he would never go on a cruise again.

Prior to leaving, we filled out the preboarding information on line, and printed out our SetSail page.

Travel To Port of Embarkation: Since we live only about 90 miles from the port, we rented a car ($20 plus $10 gas) and drove up, turning the car in at the airport. We got a taxi to take us and our 9 pieces of luggage to the port, and the charge would only have been $27 -- except that we incurred another $7.00 in waiting time while the dogs sniffed all the taxis and buses and the driver's license was scrutinized.
