My wife and I just returned from a fantastic 10 day Panama Canal cruise on the Volendam. We were with 2 other couples (my wife's sister her husband and our best friends from Austin, Texas) and we all had the same fantastic time on this cruise. The following is my review of the cruise but it will also contain some comments by the other couples with us. Overall I would have rate this cruise as a "10" on a 1 to 10 scale.

Departure and Embarking:

We flew to FL on Thanksgiving day and spent the night at the Ramada Inn Cruise Terminal. The Ramada was fair, but the price was right $80 and included hot breakfast and free airport pickup and cruise terminal transportation using DSR transportation. We opted to prepay DSR for transportation to the airport after the cruise for $7 per person and as you will see later this was a great choice vs. using HAL's service. Read more
