Embarkation was slow. We arrived at about 12:30, and went through one line for security screening, another line to sign in, and a third line to pick up our cruise cards. In all, it took about 1.5 hours to navigate our way through the checkin lines.

Public rooms: the public spaces on the ship are lovely. The decor is tasteful, and the theatre is one of the nicest I have seen aboard the many ships I have sailed. The pool areas are nice, with a great slide for kids and a separate, adults only pool.

Cabin: we had a standard oceanview cabin. It was tastefully decorated, but much smaller than balcony rooms we have had on other ships. With the bed open for our son, there was literally no way to walk onto the balcony. The only place to stand to change clothes was in the entry hall, as there was barely enough room to walk between the bed and the wall. The bathroom was a little larger than most.
