Sail Date: Nov 2007

We sailed Thanksgiving week. There were 4100 people on board, 1000 of which were children. That being said, the ship never felt crowded. The new H20 water park for the children kept them busy and looked like loads of fun. Also, the Flowrider and the climbing wall keep the tweens busy all day. Our check in from the time we entered the building until we were in our cabin was less than 15 minutes. Never boarded a ship so quickly, especially with as many travelers as we had. The ship was great. We have sailed on three voyager class ships and this was very similar. The promenade was longer and seemed wider. Loved Sorrentos pizza. We had a wonderful cabin steward named Shurma. Took very good care of us the whole time. We were in cabin 7634, which is a bump out balcony room. We never ate in the dining room, only in the Windjammer. We love the quietness of the windjammer at night. We always had the same food as the dining room, except you could nibble and try different foods, which you couldn't do in the dining room. This was the fourth ice show that we saw and this had to be the absolute best yet!!! The skaters were amazing. The slots in the Casino were terrible. To be quite truthful, like the variety on the Carnival ship better, but of course hated Carnival. We had no trouble finding a lounge chair, even on sea days which was surprising. Had a hot stone massage and was worth every penny. Didn't have anyone try to sell me anything at all. We went to the Sandals resort in Jamaica. Forget it, unless you want to get "DRUNK" which is what they promote. It rained the entire day and there was absolutely nothing to do. The resort seemed old and tired and the food was terrible. We talked with two travel agents who went on the tour and they agreed. Did get a partial refund when I complained about the resort though, which was great of Royal Caribbean to do. We dove in Cayman and Cozumel. They never seem to take you to any great spots in Cayman. Cozumel though they took you to the primo reefs which was surprising (we stayed in Cozumel before so we knew). Had a wonderful time and enjoyed every minute of our trip.
