We are both in our mid 40's and very active. We enjoyed the gym, but it was somewhat limited. This ship caters to a somewhat older crowd so it's a little low key as compared to a Carnival cruise. Not a great ship for kids or teens. For adults it is very relaxing. We paid for the spa which we really enjoyed, but once we joined the spa we felt a little squeezed to buy massages, facials, etc. You can eat to the point of exploding. The food was above average, but not excellent. The ship is very nice, but if you have been on a few cruises, its similar to other large ships.
The big negative is "The Savvy Shopper Book" Its a rip off for $25. Unless you plan on buying expensive jewelry and can use a discount, DONT BUY IT. The free stuff they tell you your going to get from stores is junk. Also, think before you buy the cruise review DVD. Its more of advertisement than a cruise review. Unless you think your in the DVD, don't buy it, its $40.
The best part ! The staff. Excellent service ! Very clean ! Our cabin steward Jose and his assistant were very accommodating and always had a smile on their face's. Our waiter Schake and his assistant Fendi were also excellent. We really looked forward to dinner every night just to see the staff and sit with our new friends. Cruise director John Howell and the staff of recreation people were super !
