FIRST TIME CRUISERS: My Wife and I getting away from our 3 children. First vacation in many years.

ARRIVING

Arrived in Sunny Fort Lauderdale on Thursday afternoon from Toronto. We were met by RCI attendant who greeted us by name and brought us over to area to wait for bus. When we arrived there, another attendant greeted us and gave us some tips on cruising. My wife asked me how I got them to give us so much personal attention. Boarded bus for quick ride over to Port. We brought two carry-ons with us in case it took too long for the luggage to be delivered to our room. (Which it didn't). Embarkation was swift and easy. We took a quick tour of the ship and were very giddy about everything. We went to book a time at Chops Grille, which they told us was full, but that we could be put on the waiting list. We checked out the spa but was discouraged by the attendants there because it seemed to not want to accommodate us because we were purchasing one of the cheaper packages. For example, when we asked for a 11am appointment, she said sure, but after asking which package, she said they only had 9:00am. We decided to just skip the spa which was exorbitantly pricey anyway.
