Cabin: Large Ocean View Stateroom

We boarded in Honolulu, where we live. There were two lines, one stretching for over a block for those people carrying their own bags, which moved at a snail's pace, the other practically instantaneous using a porter with a cart, who was tipped handsomely.

Check in was fast and pleasant, we were on board within 10 minutes of having our carry on bags X rayed. Our bags were delivered to the stateroom over a period of time and one was missing. After calls to the purser's office and assurance that bags were still being delivered, we went looking for it and found it, along with several others, stacked in a corner. Our tags were missing but there was another sticker with our name and cabin number on it attached.

The ship itself is gorgeous, marble and brass everywhere, particularly in the huge atrium with several glass enclosed elevators that travel at high speed, too fast for video photography. The spa is elegant, with an Egyptian theme, and there is a heated indoor pool that was greatly enjoyed by the adults (no children permitted), particularly when we encountered rough seas and the water was sloshing back and forth, along with the occupants.
